There are many things to do while you stay in Thailand, below are some ideas to try out during your stay. If you require a more tailored experience contact us here

THE GRAND PALAGE

Every visitor to Bangkok should see the magnificent buildings within the Grand Palace compound to get a feeling of the grandeur architectural style. Since the founding of Bangkok as the Nations capital by King Rama I, The Grand Palace has been the major architectural symbol of The Thai Royal Family. In the present time, The Royal Family resides at Chitralada Palace while The Grand Palace is used for ceremonial purposes.

Located at the heart of Bangkok, Thailand, the Grand Palace was a former residence for King Rama I to King Rama V of the Rattanakosin Kingdom. Today, the place is used for hosting royal ceremonies and welcoming the king's guests, State guests, and other foreign dignitaries. It is also a place where remains of kings and high-ranked members of the royal family were situated before cremation. The Grand Palace is divided into two main zones, which are the Temple of the Emerald Buddha and the royal residence. The latter is divided into three major areas: the Outer Court, the Middle Court, and the Inner Court. The Outer Court starts from Wiset Chai Si Gate to Phiman Chai Si Gate and includes the inner walls of the Grand Palace. It is now the location of several state offices such as the Bureau of the Royal Household, Office of His Majesty's Principal Private Secretary, and the Office of the Royal Institute. The Middle Court starts from Phiman Chai Si Gate to Sanam Ratchakit Gate. The area is where significant royal ceremonies are held such as the Royal Coronation and the Royal Ceremony of Coronation Day. Situated in the Middle Court area are the Phra Maha Monthien Buildings, the Chakri Maha Prasat Buildings, the Phra Maha Prasat Buildings, and the Siwalai Gardens quarter. The Inner Court starts from Sanam Ratchakit Gate to Thaew Teng, the row houses which were formerly palace walls during the reign of King Rama I. The southern area of the Inner Court was then a female-only zone; no man except for the king was allowed to get into the area, where the queens, consorts, consort mothers, and daughters of the king lived together with many ladies-in-waiting and servants. The area no longer served as a residence nowadays. Tips Please dress properly in black or white to show condolence to the late King Rama IX. Stood inside the Grand Palace area is another Bangkok attraction called the Pavilion of Regalia, Royal Decorations and Coins, where Thai coins and regalia are on display.

Ride a classic longtail boat during this 1hour or 1.30 hour canal (klong) tour. Explore the ancient waterways of Bangkok and see how locals live along her famous canals. This tour is perfect for the non-cyclist, photo enthusiast, and anybody with a curious mind.

Historically, canals have been the expressways of choice for the Thai people, resulting in the designation ‘Venice of the East’ being bestowed upon Bangkok by western visitors. Join us for a two hour exploration along the ancient waterways of Thonburi where we observe the many elements of the ‘canal life’ that once characterized all of Bangkok before wheeled motor vehicles came into prominence.

After a short walk from our office to the pier, we will board a longtail boat to take us across the Chao Phraya River to Thonburi. Here, we will enter the canal system and pass by an abundance of interesting wooden homes on stilts, temples and local shops oriented towards life along the water. En route, we will stop by to explore some of these sights up close.

You can also bring a camera with you but if you’re worried about taking photos with the elephants you need not worry. Elephant Jungle Sanctuary offers a photography service at no extra charge. The photographer will take photos of you throughout the day and upload the photos to Dropbox, which you can then access through the link on the EJS Facebook page.

Throughout your visit to Elephant Jungle Sanctuary, you will be feeding, bathing and even playing with the elephants. It is also important to us that you learn as much as possible about the elephants and why it is important to protect them. With the money we raise from visits and donations, we can contribute to elephant welfare. We rescue elephants, feed them, provide veterinary care as well as land and infrastructure for them to live on.

ELEPHANT RIDING

Elephant Village  – was opened in Pattaya in 1973 as a sanctuary for former working elephants. These elephants, through reasons of injury or ill health, can no longer be used as a part of the backbone of heavy work in the jungles of Thailand. Sadly, because of their diminishing habitat, it is now longer possible to return them to the wild The Elephant Village provides then magnificent creatures with a safe haven, where they may live out their lives with dignity and freedom from fear. A visit to the Elephant Village is not only unique experience, but it is also a lifesaver for these magnificent beasts as the fees paid by our visitors contribute to the very survival of the elephants, both now and in the future.

Massage and Spa

Thai massage is a massage using hands, pressing, squeezing, rolling, bending, pulling along different parts of the body. No oil is used, whether it be oil from Thai herbs. coconut oil or essential oil This type of dry massage focuses on relieving muscle aches, stiffness, and tightness.

Oil massage or aromatherapy massage is different in the type of oil used. Normal oil massage usually uses coconut oil, galangal oil, or various Thai herbal oils, which depends on the shop. However, aromatherapy massage focuses on using fragrant essential oils, such as rose, jasmine, lavender, and orchid. Massage using these oils is slightly different from Thai massage because it focuses on kneading the muscles, with oil as a connector, which reduces pain during the massage to some extent. Moreover, if you choose an aromatherapy massage, the fragrant aroma of the essential oils will help you feel more relaxed.

For those who have muscle tension and want to treat it, I recommend that Thai massage may be a good choice. But for those who want a massage to relax, relieve stress or fatigue from hard work, aromatherapy massage is more suitable. In addition, for ladies who want to take care of their skin, the properties of essential oils will help make the skin soft, moist, and smoother.
